Jaipur City Palace: A Remarkable Architectural Specimen

Jaipur, the pink city, is known for its extraordinary forts and palaces. Among its various distinctive monuments, the City Palace is an architectural marvel of Rajasthan. It gives you the best insight into Mughal and Rajasthan style. It covers about one seventh of the entire city. This magnificent palace was scientifically designed and perfectly integrated into traditional architecture. Sawai Jai Singh II of the Kachhwaha clan of Rajputs began construction, which was later completed by his successors.

This palace boasts of its main attractions that attract tourists from near and far. The great structure presents a vast complex with numerous gardens, courtyards, buildings, halls and palaces.

You will simply love this seven-story building. The lower two levels house the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum with a unique collection of 15th century weapons, rarities and carpets. The other flats like Sukh Nivas, Chavi Nivas, Shobha Nivas and Mukut Mahal are simply amazing as they have retained the old royal charm of the Rajputs.

Mubarak mahal

It was built by Maharaja Madho Singh II in the late 19th century. It is considered one of the best examples of European architecture. It also shows the textile department of the Maharaja Sawai Maan Singh II Museum.
